Do you write down what you eat? How do you track your food? I suggest a good old fashioned pen and paper in the kitchen or your purse. Another great app is myfitnesspal! If you do not control what goes in, you are left guessing. And it is SO easy to underestimate, especially if you are a snacker like me! A handful of chips here, a few Hershey kisses there, it all adds up! Track everything! Be certain that everything that goes in your mouth is accounted for! When you are trying to lose weight slow and steady... (which is the healthiest way to do it) you need to be in an ever so slight calorie deficit (500-750 calories a day max). Start keeping track and you will see where you can cut out those excess calories.
