Do yourself a favor...go see The Book of Life this month, while its still in theaters. Not a silly kids film for Halloween. No, this is a beautifully crafted love letter to Mexican culture, paganism, art and music, truly not to be missed. Film director Jorge Gutiérrez (an animator, painter, and writer) and genius producer Guillermo del Toro nailed it in terms of story, characters, fantasy and flat-out fun. Exceedingly imaginative, perfectly paced and a huge eyeful around every corner, every frame. Go see it!
