Doctor Coxs Saturday Surgery Well, its time once again for another enlightening edition of Doctor Coxs Saturday Surgery. Today I am going to investigate the somewhat controversial subject of coffee enemas. A coffee enema is the procedure of injecting coffee into the anus to cleanse the rectum and large intestines. Rectal cleansing dates back to Ancient Egyptian times, but the notion of coffee enemas is a relatively new procedure that was first thought of in 1917. Some gurus of alternative medicine have claimed that coffee enemas have the anti-cancer effect of detoxifying the metabolic products of tumors. Well, I have never had coffee up my bum-hole before, but when I have a hot coffee or tea in the morning, it always makes me want to go for a tom-tit (bowel movement). Prince Charles is a big supporter of alternative medicines and he has endorsed the use of coffee enemas, along with 13 fruit juices a day and weekly injections of vitamins, as an alternative cancer treatment to chemotherapy. Doctor Cox does not eschew conventional forms of medicine, but he feels that there is a good case for alternative medicines being used as well. Hindu Yogis are the most famous colon cleansers. Mae West, John Lennon, Janet Jackson and James Coburn, have all enjoyed coffee enemas. Mae West started each day with a morning enema, which greatly contributed to her vitality, bright mindedness and long lasting attractiveness. Well, Im just going outside now to fetch a hosepipe and a funnel for my coffee enema, but I havent decided on whether to use Maxwell House, Nescafe, or a warm, creamy Cappuccino.
