Doctor Who 38.10 In The Forest of the Night: Antepenultimate - TopicsExpress

Doctor Who 38.10 In The Forest of the Night: Antepenultimate episode of season 38. Doctor Who debut by writer Frank Cottrell Boyce. Directorial debut in the series by Sheree Folkson. Her previous work included directing Tenth Doctor David Tennant in The Decoy Bride. What a sight on seeing the green Earth. Funny the way the Doctor asked Maebh’s name. Funny in the flashback of Ruby answering the maths question of where the x is. Very amusing. When the Coal Hill kids get in the TARDIS, one of them asked what the round things are and the Doctor asked him to ask Clara. The Doctor still cannot answer that question. Wonder if he can one day. Funny when trying to find Maebh, the Doctor asked which of the kids is her despite having seen her earlier. Terrifying when the Nelson statue fell down and when a wolf first appeared in a bush. Apparently wolves are terrified of tigers. Did not know that before. Impressive that Danny got rid of the tiger by using a torch on it. Funny when the Doctor gave the Clara, Danny and the kids a lesson about solar flares. The Doctor gives the kids the class project of saving the Earth. That was certainly a project that I never got when I was at school. Missy makes her final cameo before her full-on appearance in the last two episodes of this season by seeing the Earth being saved from the solar flares. Visually impressive of seeing the green Earth being transformed back to her normal self. Delightful that this episode ends with Maebh and her mum being reunited with Annabel, the former’s sister and the latter’s other daughter. For the Next Time trailer on Dark Water did not expect to begin with it saying The Finale Begins. It looks like it will quite a finale especially with what Clara says at the end here.
