Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special was in a word; stupendous! I really dont want to spoil it for anyone that hasnt seen it yet... but suffice it to say that this carefully weaved tale really does tie so much together. It was exactly how Id imagine a love song to the Doctor to be too. Most appropriate for the Time Lords celebratory day I think. Im fully expecting to see a dvd/blu ray release edited to include the two shorts and perhaps the deleted scene added back in. As you might expect, there were surprises... the old hat... and plenty of slap-stick Doctor moments. The little pre-show and after-show was especially fun given the 3D treatment. The latter mentioned being for the pre-show really. Even when we do see another lull in the show... I cant help but think The Doctor will always return. Why? Because there is a sound to Hope... and it is that noise you hear when the TARDIS comes bearing The Doctor. :)
