Documents leaked to Greenpeace show TransCanada’s plans to create industry-funded grassroots campaigns, conducting “detailed background research on key opposition groups,” and enlisting “supportive third parties” to “put the pressure on [groups like Environmental Defence] to thwart citizen opposition to its proposed Energy East pipeline.
