Does Anyone know a lawyer that I can advise me on a matter? In Dec of 2013, I was in San Francisco with some friends for dinner. early in the evening I was attacked by a homeless man who was nuts and should NEVER have been on the street. The incident left me with a cut on my head the size of a mosquito bite and a little blood. Someone in the crowd obviously called 911 but the police were on the scene in seconds and arrested the man. they asked if I needed an ambulance, I said no but an ambulance and fire truck showed up anyway minutes later, they badgered my to go to the hospital which I refused, they asked if I would sign a waiver of service which I did, then several weeks later I got a bill from the SFFD. I called them and told them that no service was asked for or received, I sent a letter to them explaining the incident but still they sent the unpaid bill to the SF Treasury/ Tax collector which then began threatening me with letters. I tried to reach them on the phone, left several voice messages which were clearly ignored, finally a man named David Donahugh called back. I tried to explain to him the situation but I could tell he wasnt listening and just wanted the money, He went from one excuse to another and interrupted almost every sentence I made from the beginning of the call, he tried to say that because Im just now trying to dispute the bill that it was too late even though I told him that I did not call the SFFD and did not receive any service from them, he just didnt care
