Fishing net thickened his hands. stubbornness thickened his skull. His biggest catch thus far in life is fish. Odd. The guy is pegged to lead the next great work of God. He has no formal education, he knows more about boats than Roman culture. And his cronies: Andrew, James, Nathanael never traveled farther than a weeks walk from home. Havent studied the ways of Asia or the culture of Greece. Their ways arent sophisticated. Do they have any formal education? In fact what they have is humility, a teachable spirit, the willingness to take a step when Jesus said, Follow me. Dont let others convince you otherwise. They will tell you that God has an IQ requirement, or an entry fee. He employs only experts, high power personality, highly qualify. When people whisper such lies dismiss them. God provided the first century society with swaybacks, not thoroughbreds.
