Does any one ever wonder why Laura doesnt go on my trips or vacations with me? The reason… Drumroll please… for Laura, being at home without me being there is a vacation. You would not be a surprise to know that I can be a bit overwhelming and Laura requires a break every so often. Moreover, she would like to be no other place in the world than beautiful Sun Valley Idaho with her for standard poodles. Lastly, but not least important, she is tied to her desk. You have never met a hard-working person in your entire life ever. She gets to work every day at approximately 1:30 AM and does not leave until approximately 3 or 4 PM in the afternoon. She is a human computer. She has been working these hours for at least a past seven years. Up until only fairly recently she was doing quite literally all the backend, from picking and packing to customer service and order fulfillment and order processing. There is nothing I would like more than to have her travel with me. We used to go on trips together before we started SCOTTEVEST but unable to do so much at all. I think our last trip was taking a Friday off and going to Las Vegas before that it was maybe six years prior. We have a number of good people working with us now and I am hoping that fairly soon Laura will be able to go away with me on a real vacation. Even then, however, she will be going just to please me because the definition of a true vacation to Laura is a few days in silence, at home, not surrounded by any people but only poodles and pot.
