Does anyone crochet, knit, or just have some yarn they can donate - TopicsExpress

Does anyone crochet, knit, or just have some yarn they can donate for a Community Project? My daughter has decided that she wants to do something to help the community and we found something called Warm Up America that she wants to sort of mimic. The foundation is located in Texas so she wants to do the same kind of thing they do, but keep it local to help local families and shes hoping for some help. The basic idea is to knit or crochet a bunch of blocks that are 7X9 and to collect them together to make into afghans for local families in need. Does anyone want to help make blocks or donate yarns for her to use to make them? I will be stitching together whatever blocks she makes or gathers and we will donate the completed afghans before Christmas. Any extra blocks we have can be worked together and made into afghans for after Christmas too (since people always need stuff on more than just holidays). With the colder days coming this way, this just seems like the perfect project for her to start. Here is the link to Warm Up America patterns for blocks for those that want to make blocks to donate: warmupamerica.org/?q=patterns.html If you want to help, please let me know so we can coordinate getting things together or maybe even set up weekly or monthly get-together sessions to make blocks. Whether or not anyone else helps, she and I will still be making these, but it will go faster and farther if we have help. You can also call or text me at 208-350-8202 for info or any questions you might have.
