Does anyone else feel like the word globalization was in many ways hijacked with the definition of interdependent mass global resource exploitation by select few compared to what it shouldve meant instead, as in anti ignorant isolationist belligerence, culture diversification, free sharing of ideas and resources, ultimately a coming together of humanity as one free from oppression, physical and mental slavery, bigotry of all forms? I feel the warranted perception of what actually goes on may and is leading to an ignorant alienation from what could and should be under a Resource Based Economy, turning towards old outdated familiar forms of values, tradition and beliefs that held us back for so long... The anti-globalization movement developed in opposition to the perceived negative aspects of globalization. The term anti-globalization is in many ways a misnomer, since the group represents a wide range of interests and issues and many of the people involved in the anti-globalization movement do support closer ties between the various peoples and cultures of the world through, for example, aid, assistance for refugees, and global environmental issues en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Globalization
