Does anyone else suffer from those unbidden streams of consciousness in that strange place just before sleep? The ones you cant really remember in the morning? Well, recently Ive started taking pen and paper to bed with me (sad I know!) and this is what I woke up to this morning. (Its probably just ill informed metaphysics, but I thought Id put my head on the block and welcome more informed comment anyway) :- Quantum enigma - observation changes nature of observation Particles when observed - waves when not Delayed observation - becomes particle and always was - seems therefore to travel back in time. Uncertainty principle - can we know - cannot determine position of particle because of wave like quality - also cannot box in particle as will always generate enough energy to break out before it can be measured. Quantum tunnelling - electron already on other side of barrier - electrical charge? What if only one elemental electron with infinite electrical charges appears everywhere at once? Maybe math not wrong but single particle observation is the illusion. IE - if another observation of the same particle was made at the same time in a different space time continuum- it would have different electrical charge. The particle (or wave form) hasnt tunnelled - it is the same particle (or wave form)! In which case - maybe the Big Bang was more of a Little Whimper - creating a sort of basic fundamental atom and the rapid expansion caused was these fundamental particles instantly racing towards an infinite number of electrical charges! So just one elemental electron instantly cloning an infinite number of uniquely charged wave forms all of which appear to be separate particles. Thats the illusion of single particles - we are simply measuring a minute burst of energy after the event! (Could this also explain dark energy??) - sleep!
