Does anyone have a connection at Facebook (the company?). I posted the following on a FB Page admins board and sent a similar message directly to Facebook multiple times and so far nothing: I decided to change my business name due to an unfair trademark lawsuit I couldnt afford to fight due to potentially high legal fees. Nov 15th was the date it was all supposed to happen. It was a ton of work and $$$ over many months to come up with a new tradename and change physical things (i.e. my storefront signs, employee tshirts, biz cards etc.) and my business name all over the internet. We had a big Name Change event last Friday as well. All other places on the web were instantaneous with my name change (i.e. google, yelp, twitter). But for some reason Facebook is taking forever to do so. I made the request on Nov 14, uploaded proof of my name change with a US federal trademark registration that also had my business address on it and now when I hover over the ? over the change button next to my business name it says that theyll change my Facebook page to my new name on Dec 1. Thats two weeks away! Their help page doesnt help much: facebook/help/271607792873806 Does anyone know why it takes so long? I already changed the Facebook url facebook/PlayHappyCafe (see how the page name still says Playdate Cafe?). I just hope the aggressive and inflexible competitor who sued me doesnt sue me again due to Facebooks slow response to a touchy trademark legal matter!!! Any advice how to get fb to speed things up?
