Does anyone have any advice or information that will assist prem mum Julie? Hi there - am looking for some direction/research to ascertain whether or not my ex-24 weeker is on the ASD Spectrum (I dont care if she is or not - I just want to be informed and provide the support she may need): Could you please ask everyone..... My ex-24 weeker, now 2 years and 3 months, is showing signs of being different to her peers and her siblings (as I look back). Many people have made comment that shes quirky/interesting.....shes had many lung infections (due to Chronic Lung) and is not thriving as far as weight because of it (11.1kg). As a teacher I am aware of how difficult (and often unnecessary) diagnosing a child can be......but Id like to provide the best support/help for my child in helping her develop into the best she can be. Shes unable to link more then 2 words, speech delayed, very tiny, doesnt play well with others (plays by herself), extremely active (doesnt stop), is NOT interested in TV (not that this is a BAD thing - but its like the TV doesnt exist). If you have any links/research/personal experience....could you please comment. Really want to help my Molly. Thankyou, Julie.
