Does anyone have any experience with either the Bissell Pro-Heat carpet cleaning system or the Shark Sonic Duo Professional carpet cleaner? New carpeting may have to wait until next years tax return, but cleaning the old ones wont! To pay a professional company to clean all the downstairs/upstairs carpets and stairs is going to cast around $350. I can buy one of the previously mentioned units for well under $300 (even with cleaning solutions) and have the unit to use over and over again. However, my concern is this: will they do a good enough job? Should I consider stepping up to the $450 Bissell Big Green Deep Cleaning Machine, or something similar? I dont want the hassle of renting a cleaner from Safeway, et al, plus Id rather invest in something that I can own and use over and over again rather than send my $$$ out the door with the technician.. Additionally, if I purchase a cleaner, I can use it whenever I want......one room at a time......rather than gutting the house for a company to come in and do it all in one day. Thoughts anyone?
