Does anyone have any experience with the horrible ED3 company out here? I was late on a few payments within the last two years buy have never been disconnected. Were moving in 2 weeks and I called to switch services and was told it would be $300 plus a $25 service fee for a total of $325. Well I never got a disconnection notice with my last bill, next thing I know I have someone at my door saying I have an hour to figure it out or Id be disconnected. They wanted my past due amount as well as a current amount on top of that a $100 fee?! So they wanted a little under $500. I figured it all out so I wasnt disconnected. I called today to confirm my account and double check how much it would be to move services. I said OK so itll be $325? The person goes no, because you had a disconnection out for your home your deposit will now be $375. I was shell shocked! I asked if there is anyway to do a split payment or ANYTHING! I was told no and that was it. So my question is has anyone dealt with this and have advice? We were really pushing it on the $325 and now it went up! Is there anything that can be done? I think them getting $860 from me in the winter month is horrible! What kind of a scam are they running!!
