Does anyone know a good outside VA rheumatologist? At this stage - TopicsExpress

Does anyone know a good outside VA rheumatologist? At this stage in the game, degenerative conditions are uniting and the main condition that triggered it is still largely unknown. Last year I had a CT done on the cervical and thoracic vertebrae that came up clean, yet nine months later, after a physical examination revealed hyperreflexia with mild ankle clonus and Hoffmans reflex, my doctor ordered an MRI. The MRI revealed mild Cervical Stenosis with myelopathy between C2 & C3, and severe Cervical Stenosis with myelopathy between C4 and C5. All within 9 months and no injury that could have caused such drastic changes. Surgical intervention is only option available where screws, plates, or a combination of such, will have to be inserted. So, the conditions I deal with are as follows: Degenerative Disc Disease, Osteoarthritis in multiple joints and vertebrae, Pain irrespective of activity, Joint hypermobility syndrome, Systemic Ligament and Tendon laxity coupled with Chronic Tendonitis and Bursitis, Snapping hip, shoulder, and knees, Chronic inflammatory responses that have led to numerous Bursa being calcified or destroyed due to joint instability, I have some aspects of Rheumatoid Arthritis, some aspects of Lupus, some areas with sclerosis. Its complicated to say the least. If anyone has a good point of contact with a rheumatologist in my local area of St. Pete, Clearwater, Largo, Seminole and/or Tampa, please let me know. Thanks all and enjoy your rainy day weekend
