Does anyone know if a vet can prescribe something to keep a dog from having hot spots all together? I changed my dogs food months ago when she was having multiple outbreaks that wouldnt go away and it got rid of the problem. But about a week ago she had a spot on her tail and she was on her way to gnawing the tip of her tail off! I got that one to go away after cleaning it with just some warm water and putting some ointment on it. But now she has another bad one on the inner part of her back leg and this time I cannot keep her from gnawing at it. Im so tired of her gnawing herself until she bleeds and constantly licking it. Its driving me crazy. I dont know what could be causing it this time but I need help. Please!
