Does anyone know much about pomegranates? I planted one a couple of years ago. Last year I got about 5 pomegranates, which I used for decoration. Today I picked 14 of them. I still have a few on the tree. Im hoping the ones I picked today are ripe, but Im not sure. I know they are very healthy, but the only one Ive ever eaten was really bitter, so Im not sure how to know if they are ripe enough, what to do with them other than put the seeds on salads or use them as decorations again. What if I picked them too soon? I understand they will not ripen further once picked. Do any of you have experience with this little critters. Wendy Schaff, Nicole Lombardi, when do you guys pick the ones at Veras house? The ones I picked today have a red blush to them, some darker than others, but they arent the dark red I see in some pictures. I assume there are different varieties of them. Help!!!
