Does anyone know the name of Australias largest station? Well its not just Australias biggest... it is the worlds biggest! It is Anna Creek Station which belongs to Kidman & Co and is based in South Australia. It is 2.43 million hectares or 24,300 sq km or 9,400 sq miles or 6 million acres for the older folk. It is almost 2 million acres bigger than its next rival Alexandria Station in NT and 7 times bigger than King Ranch which is the biggest in the USA. It is larger than 106 recognised countries of the world, 18% bigger than Israel and about the same size as Rwanda. It has the town William Creek situated completely within it and is so big it even was able to claim its own bit of space race debris which was the discarded first stage of a British Black Arrow rocket. Has anyone been there or worked there?
