Does anyone know what I can do to help an over tired baby learn to self soothe? I watch a 7 month old little girl and she is overly tired A LOT and she literally screams at the top of her lungs...I try rocking her, feeding her, singing to her, etc with NO luck she just continues to scream. I always eventually lay her down and sometimes she cries for 5 minutes sometimes it is close to 20 minutes even in those 20 min. instances I have gone and picked her up and she just continues to scream(and I mean scream)....anyone ever deal with this? Neither one of my own did this as infants and she is my first infant in my daycare. We have had a lot of REALLY good days lately....but today it is HORRIBLE....like want a pair of ear plugs horrible :-( I just want to help her learn how to calm down so we can all have good days every day. The other kids cover their ears and one of them has even started crying himself a couple of times because her screaming scares him and hurts his ears :-( Thank you in advance for any advice.
