Does anyone remember the little white wooden cottage in Park lane, - TopicsExpress

Does anyone remember the little white wooden cottage in Park lane, about 20 houses up on the left from Carshalton high street ?. I used to live opposite and new the lady who lived there and often spent time in the cottage/gardening etc, the interior walls were varnished canvas on frames. She was born in the house and lived there untill she died in her late nineties, she said as a child it was the only house for miles, just farm and marshland, no roads, she travelled by horse and cart. It was pulled down I think around the mid-late 70s and 3x town houses built on the site, im surprised there was no kind of preservation order as was prob the oldest building in the village........
