Does anyone watch Judge Judy? I find her entertaining although very annoying at times and often just plain wrong! For example. One very common occurrence is couples giving or lending each other money and then wanting the money back when the relationship ends. JJ always says I dont believe he/she said it was a gift or you dont have to pay it back Bullshit! Im sure it happens all the time in relationships where the person does not specifically say they have to pay the money back. Of course even if given as a gift, I think the decent thing to do is to pay it back if the relationship ends not too long after. Dont you? But you shouldnt be able to enforce it in Court. When the couple is married and this stuff comes up JJ always says TOO BAD! I agree with her that in more casual relationships that the money should be returned but I dont like the way she calls everyone a liar when they say it was a gift or payment was not discussed. Its pretty obvious that the person has ONLY asked for the money back because the relationship has ended (a lot of the time). Thoughts?
