Does everyone remember when the area of the Ft. Henry Mall was half a cornfield and half a woods? I lived on a circle road, Tacoma, off of Warpath. The woods and cornfield met at the end of my street when I was a kid. Parents felt safer then letting there kids roam where they wanted, and my friends and I played in the woods all of the time and even put up a tree house. We would pick blackberries at the side of the cornfield. We could see Robinson across the cornfield. We would go to the bowling alley, Garys Pizza, all the way down to Brooks Circle, to Sears and Oakwood, all around. Such a shame kids dont have that safety and freedom now.
