Does it take someone to commit suicide in high school before people care to notice that bullying in school is a major problem. Bullying destroys people and devastates them so deeply that it can carry scars for so many years if it doesnt lead them to suicide. By not doing anything about it is just as bad as doing the bullying yourself. Its a major problem and has been for so long. It is time to stop it and to raise the awareness to the highest level. To a young person who is often already insecure about themselves it is a major blow. The effect of bullying is so destructive to anyone and not everyone can live with the consequence of being bullyed. Being young is hard enough and prevention here is what is needed. The best way to do this is through peers having parents speak to their children to encourage others and not discourage and to discourage and make it totally uncool for anyone to harass or hurt another either physically or emotionally. It took me over 30 years to get over what was done to me along with being suicidal in my teens. People say being a kid is the best time of your life. For me it was hell. It is time to speak up about bullying and not let it continue and to promptly identify anyone who has been a victim of bullying by teachers and staff and to take immediate action.
