Does the bible contain Mythological stories? Take Narnia by Lewis, Jesus is clearly seen in his stories as is the Biblical story about redemption, sin, hope, a new heavens and earth. Here is a quick quote from Narnia to convey my point below. “It isnt Narnia, you know, sobbed Lucy. Its you. We shant meet you there. And how can we live, never meeting you? But you shall meet me, dear one, said Aslan. Are -are you there too, Sir? said Edmund. I am, said Aslan. But there I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Lewis Believed that many of the biblical stories in the Hebraic writings were Myths and legends mixed with history. I personally have come to believe this about certain stories of the Hebrew bible, just from a literary perspective. After almost completing my degree in literature, its made me extremely critical in how I read many of the biblical stories...... Needless to say, I Would love to hear some perspectives concerning this topic Mythology and the bible.
