But what did they have to do to win? In Oklahoma, Congressman James Lankford (R-OK) had to pretend he was a conservative to defeat T.W. Shannon (R-OK). In fact, Lankford had to hide his votes for wasteful spending, more debt, and higher taxes. And in Mississippi, Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) had to abandon Republicans to win the Republican nomination. He and his crony capitalist friends recruited Democrats to defeat Chris McDaniel (R-MS) by the narrowest of margins. And today they are crowing about using liberal Democrat voters to win! Let me remind you, the so-called National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spent enormous sums of money to turn out Democrats to nominate Thad Cochran for a seventh term in the U.S. Senate. The Founding Fathers would be as appalled as you and me! These people arent conservatives.
