Does your four legged friend have lots of energy? Sometimes, when it is cold and hard to go outside for play time and long walks, we need to come up with inside play. Here are a few suggestions to keep your pet busy and out of trouble. If you have a stair case in your house, stand at the top toss a ball or toy down the steps. Fido gets to run down and then back up to you. Do this for about 10 minutes. If you do not have steps use a hallway. Try this, take 2 chairs place a broom across from chair to chair. You choose the height for your dog remember you can use the rungs. Use a treat to encourage your pet to jump over the broom. You can do this with several chairs to make the course longer. Then go back the other way! Laser pointers are also fun. This can be both fun for you and your pet. They get to play and you get to enjoy the funny things they do. Try pointing the laser at their tail or place the light on a foot. See what they do. But, never point a laser directly at their eyes. Have fun and enjoy spending time with your pet.
