Dog fighting on your iPad Andre Rodrigues Posted On Monday, August 26, 2013 at 09:55:21 AM Very few games get the prestigious Apple Developer award each year, and Sky Gamblers: Storm Raiders was one of them. So we decided to check out how good this game really is. Storm Raiders, in case you haven’t guessed by the screenshots yet, is a World War II flight simulator featuring planes of that era dogfighting across open skies... Still there? The developers have done a kickass job of sifting out the boring stuff from both simulation and history, and opening this game up to serious players as well as the casual. Without actually losing the visceral experience. The Result: Near perfection. The campaign has nothing in the way of story, it just lets you play across all the most important battles during the WWII. In addition you also have a multiplayer mode where you can play through a plethora of modes. The best part is that the graphics are fantastic. The planes are beautifully rendered and realistically show damage. A game this brilliant is not without it’s downsides, a bit of voiceover work would have worked well and it’s could have done without the in-app purchases.
