Dogs (and cats) should never be adopted out without the following - TopicsExpress

Dogs (and cats) should never be adopted out without the following being done: spayed or neutered, microchipping, full medical checkup, heartworm test, all vaccinations, home visit, personal reference checks, vet checks, meet and greets if other dogs or children in the home. Going thru a reputable rescue or shelter ensures that all of the aforementioned is done. If you are doing adoptions differently then do you really have the animals best interest at heart? What if you adopt out that dog and the adopter dumps the dog in a shelter? Without a microchip you will never know. These are living, breathing, feeling beings!
