Dogs are a great metaphor for people. I just gave Jackie a bath. God cleans us up, and oftentimes we respond just like a dumb dog. Heres the good news: I still love my dumb dog, despite the fact that this is how she responds to the fact that I am filthy, my bathtub is nothing short of abominable, and my clothes...well... (you get the idea). But we are smarter than dogs. God really wants us to learn, and eventually get to a place where we will stop running for the dirt right after he cleans us up. Dogs cant read Gods Word -- we can. ;) ♡
