Dogs meet ponies & carriages... That doesnt happen in every neighborhood ! This is a longer video, but worth the watch because as we continue to walk alongside the carriage, my dogs get calmer and quieter. Redford gave a mighty bark and lunge when he first saw the ponies and carriage, but once I reminded him that was not on the list of acceptable choices, we just kept moving along in our Purpose-Driven walk and I want you to notice how relaxed he became through the process. My goal is to make the right choices easy for a dog and help set them up for success. And, as in most things with dogs, calm movement forward is your greatest friend when facing new situations!
