Doing a little late-night reading and wanted to share my thoughts :) When your children, friends & family think of Coffee do they think of it as an African Beverage? just one of Africas major contributions to world culture? Coffee gets its name from the Ethiopian Mountain Village named Koffa. In this mountain village It was first discovered long ago by a goat farmer who had become curious of why his goats would always start dancing and prancing whenever they ate these strange berries from a certain bush (it was the caffeine LOL :) ). . After this, Ethiopia developed a deep and long coffee growing/brewing tradition way up in the Mountains at altitudes of 4000 feet before it spread to the rest of the world. If you are ever invited to a traditional Ethiopian Koffee ceremony, definitely GO because this is a gesture of great friendship. Share this information with your children, friends and family. Africa is the worlds bread-basket, supplies a crucial mineral in your cell phones, ipads and computers called tantalum (a conflict mineral but thats an entire different subject) that makes all this technology & social networking possible, and with its warm climate produces plenty of food and everything she needs. 80 percent of her food production is shipped out to Europe and Asia while CNN and Hollywood, charity groups, churches and schools only show you the AFTERMATH of outsiders and inside puppets trying to control those resources. Tourism, interest and investment in Africa continues to suffer except for those who know better. Bob Marleys words on this topic? Africa is the foundation of world civilization.
