Doing a little rescue work on the way home from Summer Hill today, found this guy strolling up the middle of Northcote Rd, just off Bexley Rd (?!) with a line of traffic behind him. Peak hour, people just trying to drive round him. He was following a lady walking her dog. I did a u-turn, he was on the footpath now, drove past him & pulled up next to the lady. I jumped out & asked if it was hers, she said no, then started to panic. 😐 As I bent down & beckoned the dog, she started raising her voice, telling it to get lost & go away. 😠 Luckily he came straight to me & cowered at my feet. Had a name & number on collar... Rang it, straight to message bank which said it was full. 😐 Went to a vet 800m down the road... They refused to take him & sent us to Fairford Animal Hospital, which is also the Canterbury Pound... Didnt know that one. They took him in. 😎 His name was Jax.
