Doing a paper on the old universal healthcare in America debate. I have never before in my research read so much false information about British or European healthcare systems from American sources who oppose universal healthcare. Apparently, people are refused to be seen by Doctors, are always given poor care and treatment, theres a healthcare crisis in Europe. Furthermore, advocates say, theres not enough competition in healthcare, its unmanageable, its detrimental to ownership and personal incentives and my personal favourite why should I pay for someone elses healthcare. Fair enough if everyone is entitled to oppose the idea however, completely false claims against it are just mind blowing and typical when your aware of the nonsense FOX News and the Hannity Show portray. When I was in the hospital last a few months ago, for just over a day, the bill was $5,000. This system profits from ill health. Luckily I have insurance but for the many Americans that dont have the luxury. what are they meant to do?
