Doing a talk on Parlington and the Gascoigne Family to a history group in Colton, Leeds tonight, slight change of emphasis, being the inclusion of more information on the members of the family from Sir Edward Gascoigne 6th Bart onwards... That takes us back to the period of the Jacobite revolutions!! Maybe they influenced the final years of Sir Edward, as he and his family left Parlington in 1743 for Cambrai in northern France, he never returned, dying in France in 1750.
