Doing some house shopping. As soon as I heard the words, Home Owners Association, I walked away. I refuse to have some semi retiree on a power trip, tell me, what color I can paint my front door,how many people I can have over to MY home, when I can mow my yard, how short I must mow it, does my dog bark?,my car MUST be parked in the garage at all times, when I can fly the American flag, IF I can fly the American flag, If its ok to have a cancer survivor ribbon in my window,that I must purchase the same mailbox as all the others, If I can have a fence, what kind of fence I am allowed to have,what type of shingles my roof must be, NO THANK YOU, Remember Im BUYING the home. MY name is on the mortgage!!!, Id rather die standing on my feet, then to live on my knees!-RED DAWN-1984
