Donahue Update: Emily has been having headaches on and off for over a year. Recently, they have become more frequent and bothersome, and she has reported visual disturbance, such as, everything looked like it was turning upside down, or the picture started winking at me. She has also become very short tempered and has started complaining of them in the middle of the day, not just at night. Weve been to the neurologist and she wants to do a thorough work up next week to determine what the problem may be. We have several options: 1)brain tumor, or some other type of structural problem 2)seizure disorder 3)migraines 4)injury or muscle problems in the neck or head 5)nutritional problem such as a deficiency or a food trigger (that causes headache). Next week she will have an MRI on Tuesday, a PT evaluation on Thursday, and a sleep deprived EEG on Friday morning. If the EEG is normal, she will have a long EEG where she wears it for a whole day. We want to have this resolved as soon as possible. If anyone has any experience with a similar situation, let me know. Otherwise, you can pray we are able to get the information we need to address this problem.
