Donald Savoie is quoted in the Gleaner as saying: Vote for the politician who promises the least because they will be the least disappointing. I cannot agree with such a cynical approach. There appears to be this default position in this province that elections can be bought. I dont know about you, but I am interested in integrity, honesty, fairness, and a bigger vision for this province than the sky is falling and that our better days are behind us. Weve been saying that since Confederation here in New Brunswick. We are indeed in dire straits here in New Brunswick. And yes, you do help yourself get out of dire straits by balancing your checkbook and spending less than you make. But that only goes so far. We live in a society where we expect our government to think up all the ideas for us. I believe we have all the brains and entrepreneurship in this province to get us out of this situation, but thats going to require more people being welcomed under the umbrella, not old party friends. Im voting for the candidate that inspires me that we can do better and want to be a part of the solution. And that promise costs nothing and probably costs nothing (and politically everything) to deliver
