Donald Sterling is despicable and I hope the NBA forces him to sell his franchise. His comments were offensive and he has a long record of saying and doing offensive things personally and in his business,THERE IS, however something unsettling about the idea that a private conversation in unguarded moments can be sold to a tabloid outfit for profit. It is illegal in California to record someone without their consent. With the internet now, unguarded comments and off the cuff remarks EVEN WHEN NOT FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION can cost a person his or her livelihood, career, even quite possibly a political viability. I hate what Sterling said and what he represents, but I also hate the fact that unguarded private speech is a thing of the past. Its dangerous.
