He and his brother Thor were rescued from the Brooklyn ACC on 5/23. Loki (A0965882) went in for a routine neuter, and days later we could tell something was very wrong. When he went to the vet x-rays showed fluid in his chest cavity. The fluid was drained and he was put on antibiotics. Unfortunately he did not respond to the medication and his chest filled up again with fluid. He was admitted to Redbank hospital on 6/26 where an IV catheter was put in to administer the antibiotics and tubes were put in his chest to help drain the fluid. When I left him he was still purring softly in his cage. His medical bills are estimating in the 3500-4000 range and any help is so appreciated. His brother is waiting to be reunited with him. We are hoping and praying for a happy ending! Loki has been admitted to Red Bank emergency hospital under Happy Homes Animal Rescue.
