Done deal. the Calexico city council unanimously voted 5-0 to suspend the parking meters violation. in other words, free 2 hour parking for 45 days until August 31, to shop casually in downtown Calexico. no quarters necessary but the 2 hour enforcement will still be enforced. This was proposed by the Business Improvement District. This goes to show you that unity among our people, council and commissioners will take this city to higher levels. Once again thanks City Council, Mayor Moreno, Mayor Pro-Tem Joong Kim, Councilman Hodge, Councilman Castro and Councilwoman Hurtado.
