Donna Sprague THIS TOO SHALL PASS “Disruption” I have learned by doing intuitive readings, for literally thousands of people for many years that things are usually not what they seem. We are all pretty much what we believe, and we can, and most often do, believe some pretty wild things. And through this lens of perception which we create from these beliefs beginning when we are children, we peek out at the world and see it, not as it is, but as a reflection of who we have become. Racism, our attitude toward the rich and the poor, religious elitism, and more, are all things in which we stand in judgment. This is illogical at best and pathological at worst. From this judgment arises war and destruction. Many children who are raised in poor families come to believe in scarcity and lack and victimization. The children of the wealthy can come to believe they are somehow special and better than others. Some kids who grow up in Republican households look down at Democrats, and those raised by Democrat parents, are sure that Republicans are the Devil himself. Children of any kind of addict learns early that they need to take care of themselves in life. And so it goes. Until, sometimes early in life, or most likely later on, (and sadly sometimes not ever in a life time), a life changing event takes place over which we have no control. An event which shakes us to our toes and scrambles our made up minds. The executive is squeezed out by a younger person, the homeowner is burned out, an unexpected pregnancy occurs, or a loved one dies. Or a single parent struggling to work 2 jobs just to survive buys a winning lottery ticket! At these times some of us put down our broad brush we have been painting with and begin to see ourselves and the situations of others much more clearly. And, some individuals become convinced they were right all along, and dig deeper into the mental bunker they have been building. It’s all good. Whatever the result, disruption moves us out of stagnation and into the next phase or season of our lives. Looking back from my present perspective, I know now that it has been the disruptions which have been the cause of my spiritual and material development. We all have disruption in our lives, no matter how our lives may appear through the personal lenses of those around us. What we feel as disruption, is a sudden change in our energy field, caused most often by our own thoughts and desires, which nudges us forward and out of our lives of not so quiet desperation. It is neither good nor bad. Its change, which most of us fear. The unknown. The most fulfilled in life are those who, when a disruption occurs, immediately recognize what looks like disaster is actually the coming of an opportunity which they grab immediately. Just as a GPS tells us when we have not been paying attention, and have to make a safe U Turn in our journey, that which can seem like the end of our world, can be the very saving or our world. If you currently find yourself in what appears to be the throes of a seemingly horrid and endless disruption, know that it only a sign that, if you wish, a change is coming which in years to come will have been exactly what was needed at the time to blast you from where you have been, to where you needed to be.
