Dont Forget Dont forget how the soldier lived, as he died that day, away from home; it was just meant to be that way. On fields of red poppys, on far away sun drenched sand, having to keep the peace on streets near his own homeland. A boy who became a man joining up with some others, Side by side together, becoming best friends and brothers. Not wanting to die, but prepared to give his own life, for all that he loved, for his home, his family and wife. Please remember that soldier so he didnt die in vain, Giving his life so that freedom is to stay true and remain. Not wanting to die a hero, to some they might say, doing what he was trained for; too keep the enemy at bay. To all those who never came home fighting dangers and threat, lets all give thanks and repeat the words Lest we Forget ©Jack Gorman2014
