AUGUST WEEKEND MOSAIC WORKSHOP - GARDEN MOSAICS with Angie Robinson SATURDAY 30th and SUNDAY 31st August 2014 - 9:30-4:30 both days To be held in Mainely Mosaics studio in Walmer (half way between Castlemaine and Maldon) This course is suitable for beginners and more experienced practitioners of mosaics (anyone really!) $300.00 for the weekend - includes 2 days tuition, use of all tools, mesh, adhesives, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Maximum 5 participants. To secure a place, a $100 deposit is required. (please pm me for banking details) (not all materials included). Garden mosaics can be anything you want to decorate and place in your garden. You can mosaic a birdbath, water bowl, pond, terracotta pots, a paver, even a rock, a wall piece which could be hung under the eaves, on your shed, a tree, a fence - really let your imagination run wild! As well as or instead of using tiles, mosaic is a great way to use broken crockery, found objects or unbroken crockery (you are willing to break!) and create a beautiful piece of art. I will teach you how to cut out the parts of the plate or cup you want for your mosaic. You may have found objects or crockery that are special to you, or may bring back special memories. Almost anything can be used as a base, and any combination of pieces can be applied to this base (be it a board, a table, chair, even a rock!) restricted only by the individual creator’s imagination. This a very popular workshop, especially with Spring just around the corner, so be quick to book or youll miss out!
