You can be a legend (and always be a legend) but if you cant play, sing or perform anymore then youre fair game for whatever comes your way from the paying public. Like the article suggests, you gotta question his handlers and management. For whatever the reason if a (once) great artist cant cut it, then its cruel and disrespectful (not to say damaging to their rep) for them to perform as shadows of their former selves. When Amy (RIP) lost it (for different reasons) her management did the respectful thing and pulled all her shows and cancelled any future touring plans. For me that would be the respectful thing to do.
