Anything Ive ever attempted I was always willing to fail. -Arnold Schwarzenegger ** FYI; I do not have any coaches that trains me nor do I have any fitness credentials (just yet). Everything I learn is all from FREE resources, error and trail. I cant stress how important it is to keep track of yourself and your progress no matter what goal you are achieving. Left: First Attempt conventional deadlift at 225 (March 2014) Right: Pulled 6 sets of singles (January 2015) Body Weight: 117 All natural- eat and sleep to fuel. There is no magic trick. After studying powerlifters for a while I have come to a conclusion that speed, lockout, hips, mind muscle connection, and knees is the key to a good lift and weights will come after. Breathing is so important. When you wear a belt to lift a heavy weight breathe into breaking your belt and exhale as you lock out. Knees push out as you lift, just in case you ever feel/see your knees cave in. Deep squat is what help strengthen my knees. Setting a good foundation is the key to being injury free. Weights will come in later depending on your goals also. -Silver
