Dont be deceived but know these times are now. Yes, even in the church and the Christian life its more alive than you may want to believe. Many of todays churches have become nothing more than businesses,men pleasers and playgrounds for a feel good message, Requiring those in leadership to have degrees and qualifications that appeals to mens eyes and ears! God does not call the qualified! God qualifies the called! 2 Timothy 4:1-5 says this... 4 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. It bothers me somewhat to see so many, even friends, that turn to or take in what many of the modern day motivational speakers or so called preachers teach nowadays. That is why they have these mega churches. Seems that many are no more than universalist that want to appeal to all beliefs for nothing more than financial gain, being very careful with their words as not to offend any of their supporters. Its any easy and flesh appealing belief! Is it me or has god become so watered down and generic that it doesnt even raise an eyebrow anymore. Again, that is the misconception of God being a universal god in these last days. Now on the other hand, mention JESUS and its a totally different story! We need less god and more Jesus in the world and in our churches. Stick to the truth no matter what it costs. I want godliness but I also want the power the Holy Spirit brings with it. Find what God has called you to do because He has called YOU to do it. You dont have to have a degree to get the decree of your calling. 2 Timothy 3:1-9 3 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; 9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.
