Dont believe in God?? Well you tell me how today came together for my family?? Heres a rundown of what all went down today, and yet God was there, every single step of the way. I started out going around Columbus, picking up gift cards and prizes for our raffle at the yard sale in the morning (Sat). Tom ended up sick early this morning, so I had to leave him home. We had planned for 2 friends of his to help us to gather yard sale furniture from a friends house, and to help lift heavy items into the church. At the last minute, they had to cancel. Out of nowhere, I got a text from a precious young man who helps us to do yard work and things around the house. (What was crazy, is we havent heard from him in months, but he randomly texted me an hour before our other friends cancelled. I got home, and Tom was STILL sick. I told him that Id handle getting everything done at the church, and Id drive the trailer to the people donating the furniture. Yes, I drove the trailer. The good Lord was with me. ha, ha. As TJ and I were about to leave, Tom starts vomiting, and basically passed out on me. He helped me to keep him from falling out of his home hospital bed, and I got all of his meds into his system, which usually makes his pain go away, and allows him to sleep. Alyssa came in the door from her intern job, (which usually doesnt happen, b/c she works later). Another miracle! TJ and I left the house, headed to the church, and as we get there, Lindsey and Mrs. Vicky Griffin, E Rica Morton, Cathy Jo Howard, and Toms sweet nurse, Tatum Deming were there bringing items, and setting everything up. We headed to pick up the furniture from my friend, Stephanie Lynn Shaukats house, and headed BACK to the church. On the way back, Alyssa calls me to say Tom went downhill quick, and she had to call an ambulance because he was in so much pain. Cathy Jo called me, and said she was stopping at Chik-fil-a to buy a sackful of sandwiches and drinks to make sure everyone gets something to eat. After leaving the church, TJ and I headed to the hospital to relieve Alyssa. Poor Tom was so out of it that he didnt even know his name, the President, or his DOB. After being there for over an hour, Alyssa made me go home. She knew I was exhausted, and that I had to be at the church at 6:30. Not wanting her and her friend to be up at the hospital late since they have to work early in the morning, I called Toms BFF, Greg, and he gladly relieved the girls and walked them to their cars safely. Hes staying with Tom as long as he needs him there. :) They believe Tom has Pancreatitis, which is really painful, and usually is treated with pain meds through IV. Im praying hell be okay, and that it wont affect his liver. My point after this long post, I FEEL SO BLESSED!!! No matter how much an INSANE day we had, because so many people chipped in and took care of me, Alyssa, and the yard sale, it all ran smoothly. Thank you to every single person involved! Tom finally came to, and asked me to thank everyone as well. You guys, are AWESOME!!! Now lets get some sleep so we can have an awesome event tomorrow!! Wohhoooo!!!!
