Dont forget about Gods goodness Lamentations 3:22-23 Because of the Lords great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Galatians 2:21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing! I woke up this morning and I felt down and kinda crappy. I didnt feel ready to tackle the rest of the week, and I could just feel my imperfections weighing down on me. It didnt help that I woke up later than I needed to either. On the last verse that I read in my quiet time this morning, I read Galatians 2:21. If it were up to how I felt, then today would have been a bad day. However, how my day goes has nothing to do with how I feel. It has to do with the answer to this question, am I going to choose to be satisfied that Jesus has made me right in Gods eyes and live in His strength today, or am I going to try really hard in my own willpower and never feel like its good enough. Its so easy to forget that Jesus has already made us right as believers because we can let so many things take our attention away from Him. The reason why its so important to start the day with spending time with Jesus is because it allows Him to get our hearts and minds focused on Him and start the day moving in the right direction. Before you do anything else today, stop and think about the truth these verses. Whenever we are prepared and have our minds set in living in Jesus name, we will respond to any situation in a way that pleases God because its not us that is reacting, when we choose to give ourselves to Christ daily, He will work through us.
